Description

"It all started with a mouse" as they say.

This is a picture nearly EVERYONE takes when they visit the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, and I'm no different.

But I still love this statue as it greets you upon entering the world of Walt Diney's Imagination.

They say it started very small, as most things do
A twinkle in an eye, the thrill of something new
But the dream began to grow and come alive
Touching every one of us, lighting up the sky

I forgot the rest of the lyrics ^__^

I know this is going to sound corny, but all my life I have felt this incredible inspiration from Disney World. I don't know, I guess it's just the fact that some guy had an idea for a cartoon character and over the decades, it has grown into a literal world of bright characters, evil villains, great thrills, and placing inspiration into the hearts of millions.

I guess I always like to think of it like this. I'm a writer (just haven't posted any here on DA yet), and I've been writing stories as far back as I can remember. I always imagine how my ideas, my stories, my characters could touch so many in years to come. Could it be that my stories (if I can ever get them published) could grow into something more? Something that could bring smiles to the faces of children and a glow in the hearts of adults?

I think that all of us have that potential. Whether your talent is drawing, painting, modeling, photography, writing, filming, acting, whatever. You have the power to inspire. All you have to do is wish upon a star and believe in yourself.

That all sounded so corny, I know, but that's just my outlook on artists and art in general.

P.S
I'm not much of a photographer, I know this. But I still love taking pictures. One thing I notice is that most people angle this shot so they only get the statue and castle. But in mine, you can see all the people behind the statue. I did this to show the reality of it, to show that everyday people are here enjoying a day at "the happiest place on earth."
